Ford India is preparing to launch a refreshed version of the Mustang on Indian roads by April 2020 that will have a re-tuned V8 engine with more refinement.

The company intends to bring the updated Mustang on Indian roads by April 2020. Although the updated Mustang has been launched in the international market for quite some time as it was first introduced at the 2018 Frankfurt Motor Show, India will get to see only by next year. The new version will have a 10-speed gearbox and additional paint schemes and more. The new updated Mustang will sport the same 5.0-litre, V8 engine.

The engine is retuned that will pump out 450hp of power as compared to 415hp earlier. However, the biggest change will be seen in the gearbox.

The new Mustang will be mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox instead of the 6-speed torque converter unit that is on the current version. As part of update, Ford lowered the Mustang's bonnet and integrated air vents into it. Also, the grille has been redesigned to give it a slim and sleek unit. The iconic sportscar gets tweak at bumper and diffuser that adds to the appeal of the car.

The headlamps also get a refreshed looks. The interior gets a 12-inch LCD instrument display that displays all important info.

Although not much has been revealed but as per the sources, the company has used soft-touch plastics on the centre console and doors.

The car also gets adaptive cruise control and updated LED lights as standard. The price will be revealed closer to the market launch of the car.

The new Mustang will get additional exterior paint shades like– blue, orange and red.
