FZ 25 Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP Edition Launched at Rs 1.36 Lakhs

Yamaha India has launched the FZ 25 Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP Edition at a sticker price of Rs 1.36 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. It will be available in limited numbers with deliveries expected to begin by the end of July 2021. The Japanese brand is also planning to introduce the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Limited Edition on other models in its portfolio in the Indian market. The FZ 25 Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP Edition gets subtle cosmetic updates while retaining the same BS6 engine as the standard motorcycle.


The FZ 25 Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP Edition flaunts Yamaha Moto GP branding on the tank shrouds, fuel tank and side panels. On this occasion, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of companies, Mr. Motofumi Shitara said, “The spirit of The Call of the Blue is born from Yamaha’s Racing DNA. This year our performance in MotoGP has been exceptional. Till now we are #1 in all three Standings - Team, Constructor and Rider. As a brand, our objective is to bring the global racing excitement on Indian roads and today, we are launching the FZ 25 Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP Edition for Indian customers.  Going forward, the company will continue to introduce more exciting products as a part of its brand commitment to India.”


As for features, the FZ 25 Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP Edition comes with a Multi-Function Negative LCD Instrument Cluster, LED Daytime Running Lamp, Class-D Bi Functional LED Headlight, Under cowl and Side Stand with an Engine Cut-off Switch. The limited edition is more expensive by Rs 2,000 than the standard bike. The motorcycle boasts of an upright streetfighter riding position while powered by the same BS6 compliant 249-cc air cooled, SOHC, 4 Stroke, single-cylinder petrol engine. This engine develops maximum power output of 20.7 bhp at 8000 rpm and peak torque performance of 20.1 Nm at 6000 rpm. Yamaha FZ 25 takes on the likes of Bajaj Dominar 250, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Suzuki Gixxer in the Indian market.
