A lot of mass market bikes have seen price cuts across the board, however, premium motorcycles over 350cc are now more expensive.

Under the GST, bikes with engine capacities under 350cc get taxed at 28 percent, while those over 350cc face an additional 3 percent cess, effectively taking it to 31 percent. The previous tax for two-wheelers was 30.2 percent, which means smaller capacity bikes face lesser tax and there is a marginal increase for higher capacity ones.

As ex-showroom prices have nearly equalized across the country, models under 350cc models have seen a price cut in some cities like Chennai.
