India's Cricketing Legend Sourav Ganguly Celebrates his 48th Birthday Today.

The start of 2000 witnessed the biggest crisis to hit the Indian Cricket Team in the form of a match fixing scandal. The Indian team was losing game and face in the world of cricket and needed a new direction. Sourav Ganguly affectionately called Dada by his teammates and millions of Indian fans was given the responsibility of captaining India. India’s rise in International cricket is largely attributed to the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly. Under his captaincy, India won the NatWest Trophy along with the famous test wins in England and Australia. Sourav Ganguly's cover drives are a peculiar sight in itself, and rightly so he is called the “God Of Offside”. His flamboyant and aggressive captaincy alongside his batting makes him one of the greatest Indian Cricket Players of all time. BMW X4


Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar formed one of the deadliest opening partnership in the history of ODI cricket. Both loved playing the silky cover drives with Ganguly was called “God of Offside”. Sourav and Sachin are avid BMW enthusiasts, Ganguly owns the muscular SUV BMW X4. 2020 BMW X4 is offered with 3 engine options- one petrol and two diesel. The 2.0-litre diesel engine delivers 190 bhp of power and 400 Nm of peak torque. The 2.0-Litre engine delivers 252 bhp of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The most powerful engine is the 3.0-litre diesel engine producing 265 bhp of maximum power and 620 Nm of peak torque. The transmission system is 8-speed Automatic gearbox.


BMW G 310 GS


The BMW G 310 twins are one of the most popular bikes from the German two-wheeler manufacturer. Last year, the BMW G 310 GS made its way to Sourav Ganguly's prized collection of cars and bikes. The motorcycle was developed in a joint collaboration between BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor company. It is powered by a 313cc water-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The engine delivers 34 bhp of power and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike can clock a top speed of 143 kmph. The BMW G 310 GS price was Rs 3.49 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India) at the time of launch. 


Mercedes CLK 230


Sourav Ganguly owns a Red Coloured First Generation Mercedes CLK 230. The particular model we are talking about is very rare in India. Sourav Ganguly’s Red Mercedes CLK 230 is often spotted on the Kolkata streets and people even now stop to watch the glorious car. Mercedes CLK 230 is powered by a 2.3L 16V supercharged I4 engine, which delivers 194 bhp of maximum power and 280 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The convertible can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 8.1 seconds.

Audi Q5


Sourav Ganguly loves SUVs as he owns the powerful Audi Q5. Before its discontinuation in India, it was offered in two variants - Audi Q5 35 TDI and Audi Q5 TFSI. Audi Q5 introductory price was Rs 55 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India). The Q5 35 TDI is equipped with a 1968cc TDI diesel engine, the car produced 190 bhp of top power and 400 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the Q5 2.0 TFSI came with a 1984cc petrol engine. The petrol variant delivered 252bhp of maximum power and 370 Nm peak torque. Both the petrol and diesel engines are coupled to a 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Ford Endeavour


Sourav Ganguly owns the muscular SUV and is often spotted using Ford Endeavour for his daily commutation. Recently, the American automaker launched the BS6 compliant Ford Endeavour in India. The Ford Endeavour 2020 is powered by a 2.0-Litre EcoBlue diesel engine which generates 170 bhp of maximum power and 420 Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The introductory price of the new 2020 Ford Endeavour is Rs 29.55 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India).
