Harley-Davidson India announced a reduction in prices for its Fat Boy and Heritage Softail Classic. The Fat Boy, which used to cost ₹17.01 lakh, now costs ₹14.99 lakh, while the Heritage Softail Classic, which used to cost ₹18.50 lakh, is now priced at ₹15.99 lakh.

These revised rates are available only on model year 2017 Softail models and will be valid till stocks last. Potential buyers may miss out on major updates that the 2018 models have received. The Softail series received a range of cosmetic and mechanical upgrades for 2018. The changes to the mechanicals include a dual disc-brake setup at the front, and Harley-Davidson’s new, more powerful and cooler-running Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine.

Peter MacKenzie was recently named managing director of the brand for India. This move could probably be prompted to clear stock of 2017 Softails before the company launches its 2018 model.
