Fuel guzzling huge engines with rhythmic exhaust sound is what Harley-Davidson is always associated with. But with Harley-Davidson LiveWire this thought will be changed. Harley-Davidson has showcased the production ready model of their first electric bike. The bike was unveiled at the company’s 115th-anniversary celebration.
The modern-day electric motorcycle from Harley-Davidson is expected to come with a load of features. The LiveWire gets a new swingarm. Twin disc setup at the front along with Brembo Monoblock is more than enough in the braking department. It also comes equipped with fully adjustable Showa suspension at the front and rear. The all new LED headlight and colourful screen as instrument cluster are also expected. The smartphone connectivity comes handy for navigation, calls and running vehicle diagnosis. The standard fuel cap is replaced by the charging port which is cleverly integrated on the fuel tank. The distinctive design of LiveWire set it apart from other electric bikes.
Harley-Davidson facility located in Pennsylvania is where the production of LiveWire will be done. As of now, LiveWire will be available by August 2019 and details of engine output, range and price are still not disclosed. Soon after its global launch, we expect the American bike maker to launch it in India.
