Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 has been launched in the Indian market at a sticker price of Rs 16.90 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India). Being globally unveiled on February 12, 2021, it will be sold via the existing 12 company authorized dealerships across the country. Needless to say, the motorcycle will be retailed as a CBU by its Indian partner Hero MotoCorp. The Pan America 1250 marks Harley Davidson's entry in the highly anticipated adventure touring segment while it will rival BMW R 1250 GS, Triumph Tiger 1200 and Honda Africa Twin.
Some of the premium features in the Pan America 1250 include riding modes, cruise control, adaptive headlights, lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, hill-hold control and a touchscreen instrument panel. It gets a semi-active suspension as standard while vehicle load control, steering damper, centre stand, aluminium skid plate, tyre pressure monitoring system, heated grips, adaptive ride height, adjustable rear brake pedal and spoked wheels. “Harley-Davidson enters 2021 focused on motorcycling as an emotional experience. Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 is offered in two trims: Standard and Special. It is powered by a 1252cc liquid-cooled V-twin petrol engine which develops a top power of 150bhp at 9000rpm and peak torque of 127Nm at 6750rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch also comes as a standard feature. Commenting on the commencement of bookings, Ravi Avalur – Head - Premium Segment Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said, “We are excited to open the bookings for the 2021 range of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in India.
