Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Destini 125 Platinum Edition at Rs 72050 (ex-showroom) in the country. The scooter comes with a new design and added features. Furthermore, it gets a matte black and chrome theme.

Design-wise, the Destini 125 Platinum gets the new signature LED guide lamps, a premium 3D logo of ‘Platinum’ badging, dark brown inner panels, dual-tone brown & black seat, chrome finished rear-view mirrors, signature tail-lamp, and muffler protector. It continues to come with chrome applique on the apron. The scooter rides on 10-inch alloy wheels shod on tubeless tyres. The black alloys now come with sleek white rim tapes. The chrome exhaust heat shield and fender strip give a retro look to the scooter. Besides these, the Hero Destini 125 Platinum gets a digital-analog instrument console, a side-stand indicator, and a service due reminder.

Mechanically no changes have been made. The new Destini 125 Platinum Edition continues to be powered by a 124.6cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that churns out a maximum power of 9 bhp at 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.4 Nm at 5500 rpm. The engine is mated to a conventional CVT gearbox and comes with the brand’s XSens technology.

Furthermore, the new Destini 125 Platinum comes with Hero’s i3S (Idle stop-start system) which enhances fuel efficiency. Suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork upfront and a swingarm-mounted shock towards the rear. In terms of the brake, the scooter gets a 130mm drum on both ends.
