Hero Motocorp has launched the new HF 100 at Rs 49,400 (ex-showroom). The bike is the most affordable model in Hero’s product lineup. It is Rs 13000 less than Hero HF Deluxe. Furthermore, the company has silently listed the bike on its official website. The bike will rival the likes of Bajaj CT100 and Bajaj Platina 100 KS.
Design-wise, the new HF 100 looks similar to HF Deluxe. However, it does get subtle changes. The bike gets a quite simple design. It offers a kick-starter and drum brakes. The exhaust heat shield and the crash guards get an-black finish instead of chrome. Besides these, the exhaust shield, alloy wheels, and handlebars are also draped in black color. The alloy wheels are shod with tubeless tyres. The bike misses out on an electric start. Talking about the color options, the new HF 100 comes in a single black paint scheme. The dimensions remain unchanged. However, it weighs 1 kg more than the HF Deluxe. In comparison to the chunky silver-colored pillion grab rail on the HF Deluxe, the new HF 100 gets a black-coloured tubular unit at the rear.
Mechanically, the HF 100 draws its power from the same 97.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 7.91 bhp and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm. The motor is further mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The new bike further gets a 9.1-litre fuel tank capacity which is 0.5-litre less than the one present on the HF Deluxe. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and dual shock rear absorbers. In terms of the brakes, the bike gets a 130mm drum on both ends.
