The first model in the co-developing partnership between Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp was called the X440. Now, it’s infamously known that Hero MotoCorp is going to manufacture their version of the motorbike and it will be called as Mavrick. It will be the bike maker’s flagship motorcycle and is confirmed to launch on 23rd January. It is anticipated that the Hero Mavrick will be sharing its underpinning with the Harley-Davidson X440.
The motorcycle is all-powered up by a 440-cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It churns out 27 bhp of peak power and a maximum torque of 38 Nm. The engine is mated with a six-speed gearbox. It is anticipated that Hero is going to get the engine all retuned and is powering up to optimally suit Mavrick’s features.

Hero MotoCorp is going to make certain updates in the overall outlook of the Mavrick so that it separates out its current presence from the pre-existing version present in the American market. The teasers are already unveiled and they strongly hint that the headlamp is going to have ‘H’ element badging. Where the X440 is a retro style motorbike, it is anticipated that Mavrick 440 is going to have a much more modern design. It seems like the new motorbike could turn out to be a roadster model. Further, as of now, nothing is confirmed yet.
Hero Mavrick will be priced at a lesser amount than the Harley-Davidson X440. To achieve this, the brand will have to trim down the corners in a few places. The spy shots unveiled that Hero in the front wheel will employ the telescopic forks while the X440 utilizes up-side down forks. Furthermore, at the rear, there are still twin shock absorbers. The wheel size seems to be a bit different than the X440. They might measure around 18 or 17 inches in size. The bike’s alloy wheels will also differ from the wheel design of X440. Braking duties for the bike are fully promised with disc brakes at both front and rear wheels along with a dual-channel ABS on offer.
