Hero MotoCorp Sold 1,000 Units of Harley-Davidson X440 in Just Two Days

The Harley-Davidson X440 debuted in July 2023, and bookings started on the auspicious first day of Navaratri. Within a span of just two days, the motorcycle has bagged more than 25,000 bookings.

Hero MotoCorp has officially started the delivery process for the Harley-Davidson X440 on October 15th. Across a network of 100 dealerships, Hero MotoCorp has sold over 1,000 units in just two days. The manufacturer has already bagged more than 25,000 bookings for this motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp has a manufacturing facility known as the Garden Factory in Rajasthan. The Harley-Davidson X440 is currently being manufactured at the Garden Factory. In Harley’s lineup, the X440 is the most budget-friendly motorcycle. To meet all the delivery demands, Hero MotoCorp has speeded up the production process, and the company intends to finish all the deliveries in the next few months.

The company is also providing online booking facilities, and customers can take test rides on the motorcycle before they make the purchase.

The CEO of Hero MotoCorp, Mr. Niranjan Gupta, stated that, “As we started deliveries on the first day of the festive season, we are thrilled to see the smiles and cheers from our customers. It will be our goal to complete all the deliveries over the next 4–5 months. Our supply chain is already in the process of ramping up capacity, as we would like to serve every single customer in India who wants to buy a Harley-Davidson and minimize the waiting period moving ahead.” He further added that the company is excited to bring the excitement of Harley-Davidson motorcycles to bike enthusiasts across the country.

The Harley-Davidson X440 is powered by an air-cooled, 440-cc, dual-valve, single-cylinder engine that churns out 27.6 bhp of maximum power and 38 Nm of peak torque. The gearbox has a slip and assist clutch, and it gets a six-speed unit. The X440 is available in three variants: X440 Denim, priced at INR 2,39,500; X440 Vivid, priced at INR 2,59,500; and X440 S, priced at INR 2,79,500.
