Honda Cars India has declared a price hike in their entire range of passenger vehicles starting from January 2024. The Japanese carmaker commented on the reason as to why Honda cars will gain a price hike is due to the huge boost in the overall production costs. And, with this move, the company Honda India will gain the rank of being the latest automaker to surge prices of its entire range of passenger vehicles in India starting next month.
PTI quoted a senior official from Honda Cars India who said it will surge the prices of its cars from January 2024 in the wake to neutralize the impact of hike in input costs. This comes post the announcement by some other carmakers in the country that have already declared that the costing of their respective passenger vehicles will experience a boost starting from January 2024.

Just a few days back, India’s biggest auto giant Maruti Suzuki declared that it will surge the prices of its vehicles from next month. Other major auto giants like Mahindra and Tata Motors too declared that they will surge the costing of their respective vehicles from January 2024, driven due to surge in production costs and operational costs. Even recently, Audi, the luxury carmaker, also announced a price hike starting from next month only. And alongside, Mercedes-Benz is also contemplating over the plan to increase prices from January 2024.
As of now, the company, Honda Cars India sells a total of 3 passenger vehicles across the country. This small list includes Honda City midsize sedan, Honda Elevate SUV, and Honda Amaze compact sedan.
Kunal Behl, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India commented over the decision of price hike that the car company will surge the prices of its PVs from January 2024 due to high pressure of input costs. “The model wise amount of increase will be finalised by the end of this month. Our new model Elevate was launched at an introductory price and has been well received by the market with very high customer consideration. The introductory price will be valid till December 23 and price will be revised from January 2024,” he added.
