After launching the bike in February this year, the company has now begun the deliveries for its naked street CB 300R. As the readers are fully aware at this point the company only sells its CB 300R via 22 Wing World dealerships, which also stock other high-end products of the brand. To let you know, when Honda launched the CB 300R in India, the company had received a positive response from the market. The advance booking schedule states the bike has been sold out till the middle months of 2019. The company has also increased the output of its assembly of the bike. Honda CB 300R is assembled in India as the parts are brought here through completely knocked down (CKD) kit route.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India’s senior president of sales and marketing division Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria talked about the CB 300R and added the following,
Indian middle weight biking enthusiasts welcomed the Neo Sports Café inspired Honda CB300R with a lot of enthusiasm. Overwhelmed by the response since its launch in February, we have revised our production plan to meet the additional demand.
The Japanese company has priced the Honda CB 300R at Rs. 2.41 lakhs, ex-showroom India. The bike is not in the same league as the KTM Duke 390 (another naked sport that has oodles of performance) but almost matches the Austrian bike in terms of pricing. The higher price tag is due to the company bringing the bike to India via the CKD route.
As far as the naked sports bike is concerned, it is based on the brand’s fully-faired and ageing CBR 250R. Apart from the same frame in the two bikes, there is a vast sea of changes as far as the mechanicals are concerned. The engine of Honda CB 300R has a displacement of 286cc and this liquid cooled unit now produces 31 Bhp and 27.5 Nm. This engine has been mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The front of the naked sports has upside down forks whereas the rear comes equipped with a 7-step adjust mono shock absorber.
As far as safety is concerned, the bike has dual channel ABS as standard and both the alloy wheels of the bole are adorned by petal disc brakes equipped with Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to optimize the braking on the bike. Talking of the features, the bike has an all-digital instrument cluster and a full-LED headlamp setup. The Honda CB 300R gets a pretty relaxed riding positon that makes it appropriate for daily usage and the performance if the bike also makes it good for longer runs.
