Changes to the facelifted City include a new top variant and added equipment; engine line-up remains unchanged.

Just as the City was beginning to face stiff competition from the Maruti Ciaz, Honda has given its best-seller a facelift. With prices ranging between ₹8.49 - ₹13.56 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the facelift is costlier by anywhere between ₹20,00 to over ₹1 lakh than the older model. It sports a few stylistic changes, a few new features and also comes in a new range-topping ‘ZX’ variant.

Changes to the exterior include a revised front end, which now gets a new bumper and grille and new headlamps (LED headlamps and fog-lamps on the top-end ZX variant). Around the back, it’s got a new bumper and revised tail-lamps. Another change is the bigger 16-inch wheels on the ZX variant that come with broader tyres.

Besides the fully loaded ZX, the City is available in four other variants – S, SV, V and VX.

Additions to the City’s equipment list include LED headlamps and fog lamps, LED light guides in the tail-lamps, rain-sensing wipers and six airbags, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and voice control.

Like before, all models come with dual airbags and ABS as standard, while ISOFIX child seat mounts for the rear bench have also been made standard on all variants. The new ZX variant also comes with side-curtain airbags.

There have been no changes to the City’s mechanicals. It can be had with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, which make 119hp and 100hp respectively. The diesel comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol gets a five-speed manual; a CVT automatic is also an option on with the petrol engine.
