Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has commenced the dispatches of the newly-launched H’ness CB 350 in the country. The first unit rolled out of the production facility in Manesar, Haryana with a special function organized to commemorate the occasion. The Honda H'ness CB350 was unveiled last month with the launch taking place on the 8th of October 2020. The bike marked Japanese two-wheeler giant's entry into the mid-capacity retro-cruiser motorcycle segment in India. With the dispatches commencing, we can expect the deliveries to begin shortly in the coming weeks. The cruiser bike will be sold at the premium Honda BigWing dealerships across the country. Honda H'ness CB350 is sold in two variants namely DLX and DLX Pro. The DLX variant is priced at Rs 1. 85 lakh (ex-showroom) India while the top-end DLX Pro is sold at Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom), India. H'ness CB350 competitors are the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Jawa in the domestic market.
Honda H'ness CB350 DLX Pro is available in 3 dual tone colour schemes namely Athletic Blue Metallic with Virtuous White, Pearl Night Star Black with Spear Silver Metallic and Matte Steel Black Metallic with Matte Massive Grey Metallic. While the DLX variant it provided in 3 paint options such as the Precious Red Metallic, Pearl Night Star Black and Matte Marshal Green Metallic.
Talking about the design of the retro-cruiser motorcycle, the DLX Pro variant's fuel tank comes in a dual-tone paint scheme with a matte finish. Additionally, the fuel tank sports a Honda badge giving it a sportier look. The bike comes equipped with 19-inch and 18-inch Y-shaped alloy wheels at the front and the rear respectively. An LED headlamp with circular LED turn indicators up front lend a distinctive appearance to the premium bike. At the rear, the it sports elegant looking taillights with circular LED turn indicators. The retro classic look is enhanced thanks to chrome accents on the engine and fins as well as the chrome-finished bumpers in front and the rear.
The bike comes packed with segment-first features like Honda selectable torque control, Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS), assist and slipper clutch. HSVCS enables the rider to connect the smartphone to the bike and access applications like GPS navigation, music, text messages and phone calls on the go. The DLX Pro variant is offered with bonus features like Honda Smartphone Voice Control System and dual-horn. Both trims come with digital-analogue instrument cluster that gives real-time data like mileage, fuel gauge and gear position indicator to the rider.
Moving on to performance, the new Honda H'ness CB350 is powered by a BS6 compliant 348.36cc, 4-stroke, OHC, air-cooled, single-cylinder, Fi engine. The bike delivers 20.8bhp of maximum power output and 30Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It sits on a new double-cradle frame. The braking duties are handled by a 310 mm disc up front and 240mm disc towards the rear. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard fitment on both DLX and DLX Pro variants. Its fuel tank capacity is 15-litres with a kerb weight of 181 kgs. Telescopic fork at the front and twin hydraulic shocks at the rear handle the suspension responsibilities.
