Honda's momentous growth in Rajasthan was spearheaded by the legendary Activa 6G & Activa 125

Honda 2-Wheelers India has achieved the sales milestone of 20 Lakh units in the northern state of Rajasthan in the country. It took the brand almost 15 years to retail the initial 10 Lakh units while the next 10 Lakh units landmark was achieved in merely five years. Having begun operations in 2001, Honda's momentous growth in Rajasthan was spearheaded by the legendary Activa 6G & Activa 125. In fact, the Japanese bikemaker is the standout performer in the 125cc motorcycle segment with Shine and SP 125.

Thanking customers for this landmark feat while flagging off a two-wheeler rally in his maiden 3-day visit to the state, Mr. Atsushi Ogata - Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “It is indeed a privilege to visit Rajasthan for the first time and feel the royal warmth of the people here. On behalf of the entire Honda family and over 385 network outlets in the state, I thank each of our 20 lac customers in Rajasthan for making Honda their first choice. With a strong belief in the state’s potential, we started our 2nd factory in Tapukara (District Alwar) in 2011. Today, I am happy to share that our quality two-wheelers made in Rajasthan are delighting Honda customers worldwide.”

What's even more fascinating is the fact that 2 out of every 3 scooters sold in Rajasthan are a Honda scooter. On the other hand, the company's motorcycle portfolio consists of CD 110 Dream, Livo, SP 125, Shine, Unicorn, X-Blade, and Hornet 2.0. In addition, if we take a look at the premium bike segment, Honda has an exclusive Big Wing network in Jaipur which retails 300-500cc mid-size premium motorcycles. In order to further accentuate the sales, the brand has come up with several exciting finance offers such as attractive rate of interest of 6.5 percent, Zero Processing Fee, Zero documentation charges and lowest Down Payment of Rs 1100. It has also adopted 2 Skill Enhancement Centres (ITI) in Kota and Jodhpur.
