The car is the latest in Honda's renewed push for electrification.

The production version of the Insight was revealed ahead of the New York motor show and it features a hybrid powertrain.

The pre-production version was first shown at the Detroit motor show earlier this year and customers, the Insight will be displayed in New York in final production form. The hybrid powertrain, will also feature in the 2018 CR-V Hybrid, which will go on sale in the UK in August. The engine may also feature in the Civic, aside from the existing diesel and petrol options. The engine in the Insight will make 155bhp and, according to US tests, up to 55mpg in urban environments.

The front of the car adopts Honda’s aggressive new styling theme and its wheelbase and length have grown over the previous Insight. In the cabin, there’s an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7.0-inch LCD display that sits behind the steering wheel. For now, there’s no news on whether it will make it to India.
