This version for international markets features styling changes and more safety tech.

The updates to the Jazz (sold as the Fit abroad in some markets) include major changes to its styling. The car now wears the family look, (first seen on the Civic, and later on the City facelift). The headlights, front grille and bumper have been redesigned and a thick gloss strip joins the two LED headlights. The fog lamps also feature LED units.

The only change on the side is a new design for the alloy wheels. The rear features new LED inserts in the tail-lamps and you can expect the car to feature a tweaked bumper as well.

From the pictures, the dashboard layout appears similar to the current model's, as well as new dual-tone upholstery. The host of safety systems such as pedestrian collision mitigation, collision mitigation braking, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist function will continue to be on offer.

The Japan-spec car will get the same line-up of petrol engines, in addition to a hybrid powertrain as well. The new Jazz is yet to complete its second year of sale in India – the facelift could be some time away. When it does come here, expect similar styling changes, and additional tech. It is also likely to continue with the same set of petrol and diesel engines.
