The bike is due to launch internationally in 2019.

The bike is based on the CRF450R motocross bike. It comes with mirrors, LED lights, an electric starter, and license plates, which allows you to use the motorcycle legally on regular roads.

The extremely high 940mm seat height is typical of a dirt bike and the engine’s architecture is like the 450R. The engine makes 25hp and is mated to a six-speed transmission. The road bike gets a slightly different clutch design, and a lithium-ion battery to keep weight down.

The CRF450L weighs a light 131kg when it is fully fuelled and ready to ride. This model fills a long-standing void in Honda’s international dirt bike line-up but the chances of it coming to India are slim.
