Honda 2-Wheelers India has launched the X-Blade BS6 at a starting price of Rs 1.05 Lakhs (ex-showroom Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh) in the country. It is offered in two variants – Single disc & Double disc in four stunning colors - Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic. Honda X-Blade BS6 comes with a special 6 year warranty package which includes 3 years standard and 3 years optional extended warranty while it rivals the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS160, TVS Apache RTR 160 and Yamaha FZ V3.
As for styling, Honda X-Blade BS6 flaunts a Robo-faced LED headlamp upfront while the rear end gets Razor-edged LED tail lamp cluster. The sculpted fuel tank design with new graphics and side covers further compliment the overall appearance of the motorcycle. Other design elements include dual outlet muffler, link type gear shifter, groovy grab rail, stylish wheel stripes, sporty under cowl & front fork cover, and hugger fender. Being based on a flexible diamond frame chassis, Honda X-Blade BS6 gets several premium features such as Engine Stop Switch, Anti-lock Braking System and Hazard Switch. In addition, it boasts of a Street-Tech digital meter with advanced features like Gear Position Indicator, Digital Clock and Service Due Indicator.
Mechanically, the motorcycle is powered by a BS6 compliant 160cc PGM-FI NEWHET (Honda Eco Technology) petrol engine. The engine delivers best-in-segment torque performance while having a compression ratio of 10:1. The company has equipped the bike with a rear mono shock suspension system below the seat which measures 582mm in length and 337mm in width. The 2020 Honda X-Blade BS6 has a wheelbase of 1347mm while braking duties are helmed by petal shaped disc brakes at the front and rear. It comes with a seal chain which needs less frequent adjustments and low maintenance cost. The 130mm wide rear tyre with hugger fender ensures stability on all terrains during inclement weather.
