HPCL, AGS TTL introduces contactless fuel payment solution

The tech uses an RFID tags and a prepaid wallet for payment.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and AGS Transact Technologies have introduced a service called HP-Fastlane, which is a contactless fuel payment solution. The tech automatically identifies registered vehicles via RFID and then uses a prepaid wallet to pay the fee.

It wants to have over 1,00,000 Fastlane fuel tags across Mumbai. As of today, there are 18 HP-Fastlane pumps across Mumbai, Vashi and Thane that will launch this service from July 1 this year. Then, in different phases, the company will install its Fastlane solution across 200 HPCL outlets.

Using the HP-Fastlane mobile app, available on Android and iOS platforms, you can register Vehicle Details and load money in the prepaid HP-Fastlane wallet to make payments.
