The upcoming Svartpilen 801 motorcycle will be based on the KTM 790 Duke.

Husqvarna is gearing up to launch the Svartpilen 801 motorcycle in the international market on March 19, 2024. The two-wheeler giant recently released a teaser video on its social media handle. The Svartpilen 801 bike will be based on the KTM 790 Duke, which has been discontinued in the Indian market.

The Svartpilen 801 is powered by a 799-cc, parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power of 103 bhp. The unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox that gets a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. There is a possibility that the company might replace the current engine.

The complete production look has not been revealed by the Swedish brand. However, the upcoming 801 model is likely to have a unique design language. The new Svartpilen 801 comes equipped with a slim seat and slim fuel tank, along with sharp tank shrouds. It features a round LED headlamp along with a short fly, and at the rear, it has a U-shaped LED tail lamp. The concept is also equipped with a grille and is kitted with a one-piece tubular handlebar, an upswept exhaust, and a bash plate.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 rolls on alloy wheels. It is likely to get dual-purpose tubeless tyres that are also equipped with the Svartpilen 401. The bike will have disc brakes at both ends. It is expected to get an anti-lock braking system. Suspension duties will be performed by a monoshock at the rear and an upside-down fork in the front.
