Hyundai Alcazar can now be officially booked at a token amount of Rs 25000

Hyundai India is all set to announce the price of its upcoming Alcazar SUV on June 18, 2021, as per the sources. The automaker recently initiated the official bookings of the SUV at a token amount of Rs 25000 in India. Interested customers can get the booking done either at the authorized Hyundai dealership or online at its ‘Click to Buy’ platform.

The upcoming Hyundai Alcazar is based on the Creta SUV. It will be sold in both 6- and 7-seater configurations. The SUV is likely to be offered in a total of six variants - Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature, and Signature (O). Design-wise, the Alcazar gets subtle tweaks to help differentiate it from the Creta in terms of a restyled grille,  an updated front bumper, new wraparound taillights, faux dual exhaust tips, a prominent rear quarter glass, a slightly more upright tailgate, and a set of 18-inch alloy wheels.

Hyundai has equipped Alcazar with segment-first features. These include a 10.25-inch multi-display digital instrument cluster, voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, traction control modes (Snow, Sand & Mud), second-row one-touch tip and tumble seats, drive mode select (Comfort, Eco & Sport), 8-Way adjustable driver seat, Bose Premium Sound System with 8 Speakers, and Hyundai Blue Link connected-car technology among many others. The cabin of the SUV will boast of dual-tone Cognac Brown upholstery with a Wing-Surrounded architecture on the dashboard.

Performance-wise, the Alcazar will come with both petrol and diesel engines. The 2.0-litre Mpi petrol engine will generate a maximum power of 157 bhp at 6500rpm and a peak torque of 191 Nm at 4500rpm. The motor will be linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard along with a 6-speed automatic gearbox as an option. While the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine will churn out a top power of 113 bhp at 4000rpm and a peak torque of 250 Nm between 1500-2700rpm. Transmission options here will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Once launched the Hyundai Alcazar will rival the likes of MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV500. Besides this, the SUV will be available in a total of six paint schemes - Taiga Brown, Typhoon Silver, Polar White, Titan Grey, Phantom Black, and Starry Night. Out of these colors, two of them - White and Grey, will be offered in a dual-tone scheme.
