Hyundai has been working on a 7-seater version of Creta SUV for the Indian market which has been again spotted as test mule. Being developed in the company's headquarters in South Korea, Hyundai Creta 7-seater will take on the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and Tata Gravitas (Harrier's 7-seat version). Hyundai's sister brand, Kia has also been working on the 7-seater version of its Seltos SUV which is likely to hit the Indian shores in 2021. The 7-seater Hyundai Creta price could be around Rs 11-11.50 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
Going by the new spy-shots, it can clearly be said that the 7-seater version of Creta will be nearly 30mm longer than the standard 5-seater version. The addition of the third row has made the SUV a bit longer than the regular SUV which measures at 4300mm. It looks a bit taller too but that might be due to the different design of roof rails. The 5-seater Creta measures 1635mm in height with roof rails included. The spy images indicate that it will have a slightly modified front fascia as compared to standard version of Creta as the styling is inspired from Hyundai's new Palisade flagship SUV. It will flaunt a uniquely designed solid mesh grille with chrome accents as compared to the 5-seater version.

The increase in length would subsequently result in a longer wheelbase. Besides the front grille, several other exterior elements in the form of new roof rails, side sill garnish and rear quarter glass. The roofline's slope will not be as steep as the 5-seater version of Creta. The rear end will boast a significantly wider tail-lamp cluster with split setup. The cabin is expected to come loaded with a myriad of bells and whistles from the high-end Hyundai models such as Verna and Tuscon while mechanically, it will be available with the same set of BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines as the standard 5-seater version of the SUV. The transmission options are also likely to be the same.
