Hyundai crosses the 8 million mark in record time

The company has officially rolled out eight million models in India. It has taken Hyundai 19 years and six months, and the car that helped cross the eight-million mark was a facelifted Creta.

The company began operations here in 1998, and Hyundai has sold more than 53 lakh cars in the country and exported over 27 lakh units.

Hyundai claims to be exporting cars to over 88 countries across Africa, Middle East, Latin America and the Asia Pacific. It managed domestic sales of 5,36,241 units during FY17-18, which is a growth of 5.2 percent.
