Hyundai Venue Bookings Open At All Dealerships in India

All Hyundai dealerships all over India begin Venue SUV bookings.

Hyundai is all ready to enter the sub-4 meter compact SUV space in the market as it unveils the Venue on a global scale. All the dealerships of the company have started taking orders for the latest entrant in the sub-4 meter compact SUV space. While the price reveal and the official launch will only take place next month, at the same time when the South Korean automaker will reveal the variant details of their latest sub compact SUV as well. However, we have the latest news regarding what to expect from the latest Venue in India.

Upon launch, the Hyundai Venue will lock horns with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Honda WR-V, Ford EcoSport and newly launched Mahindra XUV300 in the market. The latest 5-seater sub compact SUV from the South Korean maker will have a front wheel drive layout and monocoque platform and a 5-seater layout.

As far as the mechanicals of the upcoming Venue are concerned, the South Korean maker is offering a new 1 liter 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine rated to deliver 120 PS and 175 Nm, this engine has been developed by the company in-house. This new engine comes with a 7-speed twin clutch gearbox and a 6 speed manual. As far as the other engines are concerned, there are two more options with the first one being a 1.2L petrol rated for 82 PS and 114 Nm and mate to 5 speed manual gearbox. The second one is a 1.4L turbo diesel engine rated for 90 PS and 220 Nm and mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox. Both the latter options have been borrowed from the Elite i20.

The company says that Venue’s ‘Smart Connect SUV’ tag will arm it with 33 features and among these, 10 have been developed especially for India and it will feature the brand’s ‘BlueLink Connected Technology’. The BlueLink technology in the Venue offers remote start, headlamp control, AC, windows and horn control. Other features include emergency assist, real time traffic alert, remote car immobilizer, car tracker, and support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

There will be a lot of safety features present on Hyundai Venue as well. These features include ABS, 6 airbags, vehicle stablity control, hill hold, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. As far as the other features are concerned, Venue may get electric sunroof, cruise control, air purifier, wireless charging, voice recognition, Arkamys stereo system, rear AC vents, and cornering lamps among other. There have been a lot of guessing games regarding the pricing of the upcoming Venue and while the company will pitch it as a more premium offering in the segment with DCT gearbox and connected features, one can hope that the South Korean maker will launch the base model of the Venue at around Rs. 7.5 lakhs, and the top model going all the way to Rs. 11 lakhs.
