Hyundai Motor India has finally unveiled the highly anticipated i20 N-Line. Moreover, it is the first model to debut under Hyundai’s N Line range of cars for India. The bookings for the hatchback are open now. Interested buyers can book it at a token amount of Rs 25,000 either online on the Hyundai Click to Buy platform (https://clicktobuy.hyundai.co.in) or at Hyundai Signature Dealerships across the country. The Hyundai i20 N Line is based on four key pillars for the Indian market namely Energizing Exteriors, Engaging Interiors, Enthusiastic Performance, and Enticing Technology.
Hyundai i20 N Line follows the brand’s design language ‘Sensuous Sportiness’. Upfront, it features a Chequered Flag-inspired grille with an N Line logo. In addition, it gets a sporty two-tone bumper with Athletic red inserts. On the sides, the hatchback gets 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with the N logo on the hub and Athletic red inserts on the side sill. The rear bumper gives a sporty look to the hatch. Besides this, the rear end boasts of a dark chrome garnish that further connects the two tail lamp units, a diffuser, a tailgate spoiler with side wings, and twin exhaust pipes. There is also an N Line emblem on the tailgate.
Moving inside the cabin of the i20 N Line, it boasts of a sporty black interior with athletic red inserts. The model further gets chequered flag design leather seats with N logo, red ambient lights, sporty metal pedals, and a 3-spoke steering wheel with N logo. Feature-wise, the new i20 N Line comes equipped with smart and innovative technology. The car gets Hyundai Blue Link with OTA map updates. Besides 58 connected features, the i20 N Line also gets new VR commands like the welcome messages, driver-side window controls, live soccer scores, sunroof controls, navigation assistance, and contact information. Besides these, it also features an Electro Chromic Mirror (ECM) with Telematics buttons (RSA, SOS, and Bluelink). Other feature highlights include a wireless charger with cooling pads, smart entry with push-button start/stop, cruise control, rear AC vents, glove box cooling. The safety kit comprises 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system with an individual tyre pressure indicator, a driver rearview monitor, automatic headlamps, emergency stop signal, and puddle lamps with a welcome function. However, four-disc brakes, electronic stability control, hill assist control, vehicle stability management comes as standard.
Performance-wise, the new India-spec i20 N Line gets the same 1.0-litre turbo GDI petrol unit that does duty on the standard model. The motor is tuned to produce a maximum power of 118 bhp at 6000rpm and a peak torque of 172 Nm at 1500-4000rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The DCT gearbox comes with paddle shifters. Furthermore, the new i20 N Line is capable of achieving 0-100 kmph acceleration time in just 9.9 seconds.
The Hyundai i20 N Line will be sold in four mono-tone color schemes - Thunder blue (New), Fiery red, Titan grey & Polar white, and two dual-tone paint shades - Thunder blue with Phantom black roof and Fiery red with Phantom black roof.
