Hyundai India & Tata Power have joined hands to develop EV charging network in the country

Hyundai India has announced a strategic partnership with Tata Power to develop the EV charging network in the country. The MoU was signed between Hyundai and Tata Power in the presence of Mr. Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited and Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power, at Hyundai's Headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana. The company presently has 34 EV dealers in 29 cities which are equipped with AC 7.2 kW chargers. It aims to expand the charging infra network across its pan India dealerships by installing Tata Power's DC 60 kW fast chargers.


Under this collaboration, public EV charging stations at Hyundai dealerships will be installed and end-to-end charging solutions at home will be offered. The charging stations at Hyundai dealerships will be open for all electric vehicle customers. Under this partnership, Hyundai will facilitate through its dealerships, space and necessary administrative approvals, while Tata Power will operate and maintain the charging stations. Easy accessibility of charging stations through Hyundai and Tata Power EZ Charge Mobile App will enable customers to navigate, locate, and make payments, access live status, and pre-book slots for the charging stations. Special tariff to be offered to Hyundai customers at company authorized charging stations across its dealer network.
