Hyundai Motor, a South Korean automotive manufacturer, has revealed the new Ioniq 5 N Time Attack version at the Nurburgring 24. The new Ioniq 5 N will take part in America’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado Springs, which will be held on June 23, 2024. The Nürburgring motorsports complex is located in Germany, and it has a capacity of 150,000 people.
Hyundai has only manufactured two units of the Ioniq 5 N Time Attack so far. The new variant features the same 84 kWh battery equipped in the standard Ioniq 5 N. The battery offers a certified range of 448 km. For the new model, the auto giant is utilizing a silicon carbide two-stage inverter. The power output has now been enhanced by 36.5 bhp via software optimization. It currently provides a whopping horsepower of 680. In addition, the automaker has improved driver feedback by adding the N Active Sound+ system.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Time Attack now comes equipped with motorsport-spec brakes, new shock absorbers, an aerodynamic package, and 18-inch Yokohama ADVAN 005 slick tyres. In terms of safety features, the car gets a Sabelt six-point Hans safety harness, a PPIHC specification roll cage, an EV fire suppression system, and a Recaro Pro Racer SPA Hans seat. The Ioniq 5 N TA Spec is wrapped in a unique 'N' design livery, and the car will be driven by Robin Shute and Dani Sordo. Robin Shute currently holds the title of 'King of the Mountain’, and he is a four-time overall winner at Pikes Peak, whereas Dani Sordo is a Spanish World Rally Championship driver for Hyundai Motorsport.
In the Indian market, Hyundai retails the Ioniq 5 at a price of INR 46.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has launched the facelifted version of the car in global markets. The automaker is likely to introduce new variants of the Ioniq 5 in India as well.
