Hyundai Launches i20 Sportz (O) Variant in India; Priced at INR 8.73 Lakh

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has made a new addition to its premium i20 hatchback. The auto giant has unveiled a new Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) variant for the Indian market. It is available at a price of INR 8.73 lakh (ex-showroom). The all-new i20 is based on the Sportz trim, and it comes with a manual gearbox. The auto giant is offering the new car in single- and twin-tone color schemes. The twin-tone variant is priced at INR 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Sportz (O) trim is INR 35,000 more expensive than the standard Sportz trim, as it gets three extra features: a wireless charger, an electrically adjustable sunroof, and leatherette work on the armrests of the doors. The new Hyundai i20 variant is situated between the Asta and Sportz models, and it fills a significant gap in the lineup.

Hyundai has been constantly updating the i20 model, keeping it at the forefront. The automaker is now providing consumers with an affordable yet feature-rich offer in the form of the i20 Sportz (O) variant. The new car will cater to a wide range of buyers with diverse preferences as it comes with enhanced features at a more affordable cost compared to the top-tier trim.

Under the hood, the i20 variant is powered by a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine. The unit is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and it churns out power of 82 hp and 115 Nm of peak torque. With the latest addition to the portfolio, the Hyundai i20 is now available in six variants: Asta (O), Era, Asta, Magna, Sportz, and Sportz (O). The outgoing trims of the i20 are priced between INR 7.04 lakh and INR 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom).
