The Global CSV Project - Continue shows Hyundai’s commitment towards fostering a sustainable future

Hyundai Motor Company revealed the global CSV project - ‘Continue’ today. Talking about ‘Continue’ in detail, it is basically the overarching project to encompass all of the company’s global CSV (Creating Shared Value) activities. Moreover, Continue conveys the automaker’s commitment towards a sustainable future. This is further demonstrated by the infinity logo. The South Korean automaker released a video on its official Youtube channel under the title - ‘Continue - The Journey of PET’. Talking about the video in detail, it sheds light on marine plastic pollution. The video further depicts the journey of how plastic bottle waste retrieved after decades of floating in the sea can be used as an eco-friendly material for vehicles through the process of upcycling. Besides this, the video also features anthropomorphic storytelling and animation to better engage with Millennials and Generation Z.

Furthermore, the three key areas of focus under this global CSV project ‘Continue’ will be Earth, Mobility, and Hope. The Earth activities will be targeting local environmental issues in different areas. These will also include ghost net removing and upcycling resources in Europe, and rainforest restoration in Latin America.

Moving on to Mobility activities, these will basically promote safety and convenience through rehabilitation support for traffic accident patients. Having said that, it will be done via a virtual driving simulator and a safety program for school vehicles using big data technology.

Lastly, Hope activities will aim to support the growth of future generations. It will be done through programs such as ‘Hope on Wheels’ in North America with an aim to raise awareness of childhood cancer, and ‘H-Mobility Class’ in Korea which will further foster youth talent in the areas of vehicle electrification and autonomous driving.

Hyundai Motor has been focusing on numerous environment-focused CSV activities. The company has lately been committed to fostering a sustainable future. Last year, the brand collaborated with Healthy Seas, an NGO in the Netherlands, in order to collect 78 tons of ghost nets and marine litter that was upcycled into sustainable products, such as the floor mats in the IONIQ 5 that was sold in Europe.
