Hyundai after Kona will bring another electric SUV which will be smaller than Kona.

Many global manufacturers are switching to electric powertrain and progressing towards a greener and cleaner future, so is the Korean manufacturer, Hyundai. They will be offering the first all-electric SUV in India called the Kona next year. Soon after the launch of Kona, there will be another electric SUV which will be smaller than Kona and will be the second EV of the company.

The Kona is expected to be launched in the second half of 2019. The sales figures of Kona won’t be the first priority of Hyundai instead they are launching the Kona to understand the EV car market and take feedback from the consumer. In the following three years, the company will be investing more than Rs. 7000 crores in India for developing new products and powertrain along with setting up new office buildings.

The manufacturer will be launching nine vehicles before the beginning of 2021. These new nine vehicles range from entry-level cars to flagship SUV including two EVs. The company will launch a sub-4-metre SUV that will rival with Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Maruti Vitara Brezza.
