South Korean carmaker Hyundai has made steady and hard-earned progress in the Indian market over the years, and has come to occupy the second spot on the volume of cars produced in the market. Now the company is in the process of updating its model line-up in India and launching new models. Maruti Suzuki’s major rival, Hyundai will bring in updated models, facelifts, and will launch all-new cars in India to expand its product line-up in the country. South Korean maker is hitting on all cylinders and plans to launch new cars in the Indian market. Hyundai Grand i10

Hyundai will launch the car by the end of 2019.

Highlights – Major changes on interior and exterior front. Larger touchscreen infotainment system on the inside and a rumored sunroof. No changes in the engine, speculations suggest new torque converter automatic gearbox instead of existing AMT transmission. Several design cues from the recently launched Santro to also make appearance on new model of i10.

Hyundai Venue

Highlights -- The upcoming sub-4 meter compact SUV will lock horns with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, and recently launched Mahindra XUV300 in India. The company says that Venue’s ‘Smart Connect SUV’ tag will arm it with 33 features and among these, 10 have been developed especially for India and it will also feature the brand’s ‘BlueLink Connected Technology’. The upcoming Venue will also have an emergency feature, roadside assistance and panic notification. The upcoming Hyundai sub-4 meter compact SUV will come with the company’s signature design language and will borrow a lot from the Santa Fe in looks. Engine options to likely be 1.4 litre petrol, a 1.4-litre diesel and a 1.0-litre petrol turbocharged unit.

Hyundai to launch the electric car by fourth quarter of 2019

Highlights – First EV by company in India. To come with 2 battery pack options -- 39.2 kWh (310 km range) and 64 kWh battery unit (480 km range). EV to initially arrive as knocked down kits and be assembled in India. Will rival yet to be launched Chinese-owned British brand MG’s eZS electric SUV upon arrival in India.

Hyundai to launch car by middle or end of 2019

Highlights – Company to launch facelifted model of executive sedan. Design tweaks on the new model expected. Interior feature upgrades also expected. Major feature additions to likely include new touchscreen infotainment system, complete interior overhaul, and rear parking camera among others.

Hyundai Tucson

Hyundai to launch facelifted SUV by fourth quarter of 2019

Highlights – Company to launch facelifted version of existing model. Major changes on features and equipment front. Changes on exteriors front as well. Feature changes such as autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and 360-degree camera. No changes on engine front expected. Major changes on design front also expected with the new model gaining the signature Hyundai look.
