Hyundai Venue clocked 50000 sales within the first six months of its launch in India

Hyundai Venue has crossed the 2.5 lakh sales milestones in just 30 months since its launch in the Indian market. The automaker’s first-ever compact SUV falls in the price range of Rs 6.50 lakhs - Rs 11.10 lakhs (ex-showroom). 


Hyundai Venue was launched in May 2019. Talking about its sales milestone in detail, the SUV clocked 50,000 sales within 6 months of its launch. However, the demand slowed down a bit in the following months. Having said this, 1 lakh units of Venue was sold in 15 months and a total of 2 lakh units in just 25 months. The SUV rivals the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Tata Punch, and Nissan Magnite.


Hyundai Venue offers a plethora of features. These include an 8.0-inch touchscreen unit compatible with Apple Carplay & Android Auto, BlueLink connected car tech, wireless charging, automatic climate control, cooled glovebox, cruise control, among many others. In terms of safety features, the Hyundai Venue comes equipped with dual airbags, ABS, speed warning system, seat belt reminders, and rear parking sensors.

Performance-wise, the Venue comes equipped with three engine options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine churns out a top power of 82 bhp and a peak torque of 114 Nm while being mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel unit, on the other hand, generates 99 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. Transmission duty here is handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox. While the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine dishes out 119 bhp power and 172 Nm peak torque. The motor here comes with the choice of a 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT automatic, and a 6-speed iMT gearbox.
