After a long wait Hyundai finally entered the sub-4 meter SUV segment in India and launched the Venue SUV at a starting price of Rs 6.5 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. At this price, the Venue undercuts several other major players in the market. Let’s take a look at the newest player in the segment through a series of pictures that reveal details about the new SUV.

The waterfall grille at the front with chrome work on the grille lending a distinct identity to the South Korean maker’s SUV. The headlamps are placed below the turn indicators here, a design trend that is growing increasingly common in the industry.

Sides reveal a different story as the design here looks Creta inspired but the lines on the body give the Venue a distinct identity for sure.

The rear of the Hyundai Venue looks inspired from the Volkswagen Polo as the squarish LED tail lights remind one of the German hatchback’s tail lamps.

The aforementioned LED tail lamps come with ‘Lenticular’ lens, as per the brand and the bright lights do lend the car a very novel look in the segment.

The waterfall grille has chrome work all around which makes it attractive for customers in the Indian market and the Hyundai logo also boldly sits in the middle of the grille of the car.

The LED DRLs in the Venue enclose the headlamps of the car and are placed in the lower part of the bumper. This lends the car a very futuristic look, and will make sure that the SUV remains an attractive option in the segment for the coming times.

As already mentioned the turn indicators in the Venue are placed above the headlamps and a sharp units that give the front of the SUV an attractive look.

While the turn indicators are placed at the top of the light cluster at the front, below that sits the headlamp and LED DRLs cluster. At the bottom part of the front bumper below the main headlamps are the fog lamps the SUV that help with visibility in extreme weather conditions.

Hyundai Venue also features shark fin antenna this results in the car looking more premium but the feature is found in top models only.

The roof rails are yet another feature that make the car a premium looking offering in the segment.

The South Korean maker is offering a new 1 liter 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine. This new engine comes with a 7-speed twin clutch gearbox and a 6 speed manual. As far as the other engines are concerned, there are two more options with the first one being a 1.2L petrol mated to 5 speed manual gearbox. The second one is a 1.4L turbo diesel engine mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox.

Venue’s top model SX(O) offers 60:40 rear split seats.

Hyundai Venue comes with dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels.

Venue is loaded with features and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system sits at the center of the dash.

The front and rear headrests in the Hyundai Venue are adjustable while the middle one at the rear is fixed.

Hyundai Venue offers keyless entry with one-touch push button.

Interiors can be had in three colors in the SUV.

First is a red themed interior with red accent on the seats and highlights on the infotainment system.

Second is a dual-tone dashboard with a white interior.

Hyundai Venue’s HD 8.0-inch infotainment screen offers BlueLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

Hyundai Venue has an overall butch look with good lines on the body.
