The Korean carmaker, Hyundai to attract more customers has added another engine option in its C-segment offering, the Verna. The Verna 1.4 diesel version will be offered only in two variants the E and EX trims. These trims are the entry-level variants of the Verna diesel.
In the C-segment, the Hyundai Verna is one of the popular choices of the customers and this has been reflected by the sales figures of the vehicle. The car was in the list of top 25 most selling cars in the month of August and September of this year but unfortunately, in the month of October, it missed to make it in the list just by a small margin. Honda City replaced the Verna in the list and with these more affordable diesel variants of Verna, we expect it to sell in good numbers.
The E and EX-trims of both diesel and petrol share the same list of features. Powering these diesel variants is the same 1.4-litre diesel engine from the Elite i20 and i20 Active. This 1.4-litre diesel unit churns out 89 BHP and 220 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The E and EX trims are priced at Rs. 9.29 lakhs and Rs. 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively.
