Collector from Bengaluru received one of only 991 units ever produced of the 500hp sportscar.

With just 911 units ever made, the Porsche 911 R is a limited-edition sportscar. Not to forget, it’s as close as it can get to a precision driving machine. Of the ones produced has recently made its way to India; Bhoopesh Reddy based in Bengaluru is the proud ownwer of this rare beauty. However, there’s still no word on how much he had to shell out for this rare 911 R.

Developed by Porsche Motorsports, the 911 R has a 500hp 4.0-litre flat-six engine that sends power to the rear wheels via a six-speed sports transmission; the gearbox also features a double-declutch function that makes gear-shifts smoother. The car can accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 3.8sec and can hit a top speed of 323kph.

Other highlights of the 911 R include its 911 GT3-based body (replete with rear-wheel steering). To reduce weight, it also gets a carbon fibre bonnet and front wing, a magnesium roof and plastic side windows and rear screen to save weight.
