Jaguar marks its entry into the EV segment with the launch of the all-electric I-Pace in India

Jaguar Land Rover India has launched its first all-electric SUV, I-Pace at a starting price of Rs 1.06 crore (ex-showroom) in the country. The price goes as high as Rs 1.12 crore (ex-showroom) for the top-end HSE trim. The electric SUV is offered in a total of three trims - S, SE, and HSE.

In terms of design, the Jaguar I-Pace flaunts slim-futuristic LED headlights with signature double J blade graphics. It further gets matrix LED headlights with signature DRLs as an option. The rear end boasts sleek LED tail-lights. On the sides, the I-Pace gets a 19-inch 5-split spoke gloss dark grey with contrast Diamond Turned finish alloy wheels as standard. 




Moving inside the cabin of the all-electric I-Pace, it features the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system compatible with Apple Car Play & Android Auto. Other feature highlights include a 16-speaker 380 watt Meridian 3D surround audio system, a PM 2.5 air filter, wireless charging, 8-way adjustable semi-powered Luxtech Sport seat, interactive driver display, a panoramic sunroof, 3D solar camera and a head-up display, among many others. The safety kit comprises six airbags, emergency brake assist, ABS, ESC, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera. 

Performance-wise, the I-Pace gets two electric motors that produce a combined 400 bhp power and 696 Nm torque. The all-electric SUV further comes with a 90kWh battery that is capable of providing a 470km WLTP-rated range on a single charge. It takes 12.9 hours to charge fully with an 11kW home charger. Jaguar also claims that the electric SUV can hit a top speed of 200kph and can do the 0-100kph sprint in 4.8sec. 




In addition to this, Jaguar I-Pace comes with a complimentary 5-year service package and 5 years of roadside assistance, along with the standard 8-year or 1,60,000km battery warranty. Besides these, Jaguar has partnered with Tata Power with an aim to provide home and office charging options to all I-Pace customers. Under this partnership, the I-Pace customers can access 200+ charging stations set up by Tata Power across more than 23 cities in the country. Jaguar will further be installing over 32 DC fast chargers at its 22 dealerships spread across 19 cities. All the customers purchasing the EV will get a 7.4kW AC wall-mounted charger as complimentary.
