In 2016, Mahindra acquired 60 percent stake in Classic Legends Private Limited. The company owns BSA and has an exclusive brand license agreement with Jawa Moto for India and other parts of Asia. In India, Mahindra is working on retail outlets to sell Jawas, but in the meantime, the company has launched its third new offering in Europe – the Jawa 350 Special.
The bike’s large fairing, retro colour scheme and extensive use of chrome are inspired by the bike maker’s racing heritage. The rounded headlight cowl, twin upswept exhausts, flat seat and café racer-like tail section are all other elements of this.
The bike is based on the Jawa 350 OHC and it uses the same parallel-twin air-cooled engine found on the 350 OHC. This 397cc unit makes 27.7hp and 30.6Nm. Sadly, this bike won’t make it to India. But, a Jawa-badged bike will be available in our country soon.
