Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has officially rolled out the 2024 Jawa 42 FJ in India with new styling upgrades. The Jawa 42 FJ is being offered at a starting price of INR 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and it goes up to INR 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom). In the 42 range, the new Jawa 42 is a sportier and more robust model. It has received several updates over the outgoing Jawa 42 motorcycles. Bookings for the 2024 Jawa 42 FJ are currently open, while deliveries are expected to begin soon.
The two-wheeler giant launched the updated Jawa 42 last month, and it comes equipped with a new 294 cc ‘J-Panther’ engine, a new saddle, and subtle design modifications. The new variant of the Jawa 42 features a bigger displacement engine, which has been borrowed from its 350 siblings.

Jawa 42 FJ Specifications
The Jawa 42 FJ 350 features a modern retro theme, which is visible from the bike’s teardrop-shaped fuel tank along with an aluminum plate. The fuel tank has bold Jawa lettering on it. Jawa has not made any changes to the motorcycle’s side panels and fenders, keeping intact the brand’s history. However, the Jawa 42 FJ 350 receives a newly designed seat, handlebar, off-set fuel tank cap, and upswept exhausts.
In terms of design, the Jawa 42 FJ comes with amenities like a blacked-out engine and multi-spoke alloy wheels. The base model of the Jawa 42 FJ features wire-spoke wheels. The all-new Jawa 42 FJ is loaded with advanced features like LED lights, a single-pod, a USB charging port, an assist and slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, and a digital instrument cluster.
Powering the Jawa 42 FJ is a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that can churn out peak power of 22 bhp and peak power of 28 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip-and-assist clutch. The new motorcycle houses a steel chassis that is suspended by twin shock absorbers and a 41 mm telescopic fork. For braking duties, the bike gets a 320 mm disc brake up front and a rear disc brake.
The facelifted car is priced at Rs 34.20 lakh and now comes with a more powerful 184hp 2.0-litre diesel engines; no manual variant now.
