Czech brand Jawa Motorcycles gets a renascence by Mahindra owned Classic Legends Pvt Ltd. Jawa Motorcycles has launched two bikes – Jawa and Jawa Forty Two. These motorcycles look very appealing and the design of the bikes is very much similar to the retro old-school classic Jawas.
The Jawa is available in three classic colours – Jawa Maroon, Jawa Grey and Jawa Black while the Jawa Forty Two comes with six paint options – Glossy Metallic Red, Glossy Drak Blue, Matte Moss Green, Matte Pastel Blue, Matte Pastel Light Green and Matte Blue.
Both the bikes get a double cradle frame. These bikes sit on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The tank capacity is of 14-litres and the seat height is 765 mm. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The 280 mm front disc and 153 mm rear drum brake along with single channel ABS bring the 170 kg bike to a halt.
Both the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two share the same 293cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine that produces 27 BHP and 28 Nm of torque. The engine has been developed at the Technical Center in Varese, Italy. The new engine has two exhaust outlets and the harmonics of the exhaust note is very similar to the previous Jawa motorcycles.
