Jawa to offer ABS with the Classic and Forty Two motorcycles ahead of the commencement of safety norms in India.

Jawa has re-entered the Indian market with a completely new lineup of bikes and the deliveries will be starting from January 2019. The bike maker has started accepting bookings for their first two products - Jawa Forty Two and Jawa Classic. These bikes won't be available with ABS at the time of their launch. However Jawa plans to introduce ABS in these two motorcycles ahead of the implementation of safety norms.

The Czech brand is getting a lot of attention from the Indian buyers as they have a cult following since a long time for their classic bikes. They will be introducing ABS to the two new bikes in the second quarter of 2019. Both the bikes will get dual channel ABS system ahead of the safety norms taking place next year from April 1, 2019.

The introduction of ABS will further increase the pricing of these bikes for around Rs. 15,000/-. Both the bikes are powered by the same engine, a 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC engine which churns out 27 BHP of power and 28 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
