Jeep is working on an all-new 7-seater SUV, that is likely to be launched in 2021 in India. This upcoming seven-seater SUV will be based on the Compass SUV. It will compete against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the Honda CR-V in India.
The India-bound model will be based on the updated Small Wide Platform, which also underpins the Renegade, Toro and the Compass. Compared to the regular model, it will be wider and longer; however, the wheelbase will remain the same. The SUV gets a spacious cabin due to a flatter roof. The rear doors will be larger in size for easier access to the third row of seats.
Cosmetically, the 7-seater Jeep SUV will feature revised front and rear design with new grille & headlamps, tail-lamps and bumpers. The larger rear overhang will offer a bigger glass area for the rear occupants.

The Jeep Compass 7-seater SUV will be equipped with a more powerful diesel engine. It is likely to get a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine, that will produce over 200 bhp power. A six-speed manual gearbox delivering the power to the front wheels will come as standard, while a 9-speed automatic gearbox could well be offered as optional.
