The special edition of this Brazil-specced SUV features cosmetic changes on the outside and in.

The Brazilian market will now feature a special edition of the Compass. The Jeep Compass Night Eagle is built on the Longitude variant and it comes with a number of cosmetic changes.

The exterior features a new glossy black finish, including on the 18-inch alloy wheels, the grille, fog lamp bezels and the Jeep badge’s surrounding. This also features on the inside, particularly around the central console and the AC vents. The car is only available in black – either a solid ‘shadow’ black or a metallic ‘carbon’ black.

Mechanically, the car remains unchanged – engines include a 166hp, 2.0-litre Tigershark petrol-ethanol engine, mated to a six-speed auto ‘box and the 170hp 2.0-litre turbo-diesel motor paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Night Eagle comes fitted with dual-zone climate control, leather seats and the 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system, but adds a Beats sound system with nine speakers and a subwoofer, automatic xenon headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and an electrochromic rear-view mirror.

There is no news on whether this version will come to India, but the company will add the Renegade SUV to its India model portfolio sometime next year.
