Recently, the South Korean automaker confirmed that it has completed 25 years in the Indian market, and to celebrate that Hyundai will be launching an SUV in the country. This three-row model will be called Alcazar while it will be based on Hyundai Creta. A direct competition to this upcoming 7-seater SUV would be the newly launched Tata Safari. Hyundai Alcazar vs Tata Safari: Exterior Design
Hyundai Alcazar will be based on the K2 platform, which also underpins the current-gen Creta. Tata Safari, on the other hand, is based on the Omega Arc architecture that is derived from Land Rover’s D8 platform. In terms of design, the Hyundai Alcazar looks similar to Creta. However, it does get subtle changes to the bumper and grille to make it look a bit distinct from the new-gen Creta. Meanwhile, Tata Safari retains the silhouette of Tata Harrier. Upfront, it gets a new tri-arrow grille with a chrome finish. In addition, the SUV flaunts Xenon HID projector headlamps. The roof rails of the SUV come with ‘Safari’ inscribed on them. Towards the rear end, it gets a new D-pillar design, a new set of LED tail-lamps, and a large quarter glass. Tata Safari rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. On the other hand, we can also expect Alcazar to get a set of 18-inch alloy wheels.
