In 2023, Kia recorded record-breaking global sales of over 3.08 million cars, up 6.3% from the previous year. By 2024, the company wants to sell more than 3.2 million units worldwide.

With the release of its 2023 global auto sales figures, Kia Corporation established a new record for annual sales of over 3.08 million units. With respect to 2022 sales, this indicates a 6.3% increase.

Kia distributed 2.52 million cars outside of South Korea in 2023, a 6.7% increase over the previous year. Sales of Korean goods domestically increased by 4.6% to 563,660 units. In 2014, the company achieved a record-breaking 3.04 million global sales in one year.

Kia's sales for the year were led by the Sportage SUV, which was followed by the SUVs Seltos and Sorento. Recovering semiconductor supplies contributed to the record performance by enabling higher car production. Kia wants global sales to surpass 3.2 million units by 2024. This would be an additional rise over the record-breaking outcomes from 2023. This year, Kia plans to sell 2.66 million cars outside of Korea and 530,000 cars in Korea.

In 2024, Kia wants to extend its lead in the global EV market while increasing profitability and customer value. Growth will be fueled by new EV models, enhanced connectivity technologies, and increased sales of commercial vehicles. In addition, the business will finish building its EV plant in Korea, where the EV3 model is made.
