One of the most anticipated brands - KIA Motors will be an integral part of Auto Expo 2020. The Korean automaker is expected to launch one product while showcase 4 more other vehicles at the Auto Expo next week. Kia Motors will be taking a shot at the luxury MPV segment with the introduction of KIA Carnival. We have already seen and read a lot about this MPV online, however the Korean automaker is expected to make its price announcement during the auto show. KIa Carnival will compete directly with the Toyota Innova Crysta in the Indian market. Available in 3 variants namely Kia Carnival Premium, KIa Carnival Prestige and KIa Carnival Limousine, this MPV will offer 7 to 9-seater configuration depending upon the variant selected. KIa Carnival is powered a BS6 complaint 2.2-litre VGT diesel engine that is good for 197 bhp and 440 Nm peak torque. It will come matted to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
It has not been long since KIa Motors provided us first glimpse of its upcoming compact SUV concept. Sharing design sketches of the so called (codenamed QYi) Compact SUV, the company expressed it desire to showcase this new offering at the motor show. After the launch of Carnival, this particular compact SUV will be the third offering on behalf of the manufacturer. Likely to feature two petrol iterations and one diesel engine, the upcoming KIA Compact SUV will share its chassis with that of Hyundai Venue. It will go up against Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and Ford Ecosport in the Indian market.
Recently showcased at Los Angeles Auto Show, KIa Seltos X Line is expected to make its presence felt at Auto Expo 2020. Basically, a concept the X Line gives an insight into what the KIA Seltos is worth becoming when seeking adventure. With its beefed-up look, the KIa Seltos X Line stands to offer 234 mm of ground clearance, off-roading bumpers, Novi tyres and a whole lot of extra lights.
Since the company's inception, KIa Optima has been on the radar as a product offering in the premium sedan segment. When launched, it would go up against the likes of Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla Altis and Hyundai Elantra. With an expected price of Rs 15 to 20 lakhs, KIa Optima is likely to feature 2 petrol and 1 diesel engine options. Not much is known about its specifications, however we expect the Korean automaker to clear the air during the exhibition by sharing more details about this sedan.
In addition to these, there is a possibility that the company could also showcase an updated version of KIa Stinger.
