The much awaited Kia Seltos has been launched August 22, 2019  by the South- Korean carmaker. The Seltos had successfully created a lot of buzz right from its booking which started on July 16, 2019.

The excitement in the Indian car market is quite evident as the Kia Seltos has received more than 35,000 bookings so far. Kia has launched its first compact SUV in two trims – Tech Line and GT Line which have 5 and 3 variants respectively.

Kia Seltos is loaded with the most advanced features you could imagine for. The Seltos is loaded with features like ventilated seats, air-purifier, in-built perfume that takes your comfort to the next level. Along with these, the car has an eco-coating that absorb bad odor.

The 10.25-inch HD  infotainment system which can be connected via Android Auto, Apple car Play is the show stopper that never lets you get bored while you are on a long drive. The 8 -inch heads up display shows up all the essential info.

The car steals our heart with the UVO connect system that has over 37 smart connectivity features that are comparable to the one present on the Hyundai Venue.

2. Powerful Kia Seltos Engine CC:

The compact SUV is the perfect getaway buddy that conquers every type of terrain with great ease. The Seltos is able to do that with its powerful drive trains that are available with three BSVI compliant engines( 2 petrol and 1 diesel).

The 1.5 L petrol engine has the capability to churn out 115hp and 144Nm of torque which is enough for city commuting. The engine is mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox along with CVT automatic option.

On the other hand,the 1.4-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine pumps 140hp and 242Nm of torque , mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This specific variant is the one that you should be going on to hill station.

The  1.5 Litre -diesel engine has 115 horses inside, which makes 250Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or torque convertor automatic gearbox options.

The compact SUV gets 3 drive modes which are Normal, Eco and Sport and terrain modes (Wet, Mud and Sand) which can be tuned by the controller knob on center.

3. Attractive Kia Seltos On Road Price:

The Kia Seltos has been priced in competition with the Hyundai Creta. The starting base model HTE -petrol variant has been priced at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 9.69 Lacs which is lower than the Hyudai Creta.

The Kia Seltos Ex-showroom price starts from Rs. 9.69 Lacs and goes up to Rs. 15.99 Lacs for its top model which is HTX plus AT D.  The Kia Seltos on road price starts from Rs 10.88 Lacs and goes up to Rs. 18.89 Lacs. The Seltos is seen as a competitor to the Hyundai Creta and the latest entrant MG Hector.

The Kia Seltos price has successfully caught the eyes of the car buyers in India. However it is time that would tell how successful Kia Seltos turns out to be.
