Kia Seltos Entry-Level HTE Variant Gets Five New Color Options

The Seltos base HTE variant is now being offered in seven color options: Clear White, Pewter Olive, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Gravity Grey, and Imperial Blue.

Kia India has updated the color options of the entry-level variant of its famous Seltos SUV. In the Indian market, the HTE Seltos variant comes at an introductory price of INR 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV has now received five new exterior color options to select from. The brand is aiming to target more potential buyers by offering additional color options. Previously, the company only offered the Seltos in two exterior hues: Sparkling Silver and Clear White. The absence of more color options may have encouraged some buyers to select higher trims of the SUV. The Kia Seltos base HTE variant is now being offered in a total of seven color options: Clear White, Pewter Olive, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Gravity Grey, and Imperial Blue.

As per the website of Kia India, the higher trims of Kia Seltos have now received four more color options: Intense Red with Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Xclusive Matte Graphite, and Glacier White with Aurora Black Pearl. The company has not made any variations in the specifications, feature list, or the SUV’s prices. Notably, the new color schemes for the Seltos HTE are all one-tone. The GTX+ variants are available in dual-tone options.

The Kia Seltos base HTE trim is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The powertrain generates peak power of 113 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque. The company claims that the HTE variant provides fuel efficiency of 17 kmpl.

On the feature front, the Kia Seltos base variant houses a 4.2-inch color TFT as a driver display in place of a digital screen. Instead of new DRL units and LED headlights, the SUV features halogen projector headlights. For safety, the South Korean automaker offers Hill Assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), six airbags as standard, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

In India, the Kia Seltos SUV is priced between INR 10.90 lakh and INR 20.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The company launched the new iteration of the Seltos SUV in 2023. In the compact SUV segment, the Seltos gives tough competition to the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Hyundai Creta. The Kia Seltos was selected as the third best-selling compact SUV in April.
