Kia Sonet Launching Tomorrow in India

Finally, after a long wait, tomorrow is the day when the auto enthusiasts will finally see Kia Sonet hitting the Indian roads. Yes, you read it right. Kia Motors India is all set to launch the Sonet tomorrow in the Indian market. The price announcement will take place tomorrow while deliveries will start immediately across the nation at all the company authorized dealerships. It will be at loggerheads with Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser in India.

Kia Sonet will be presented in two trims: Tech Line and GT Line. There will be five grades in the Tech Line in the form of HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+ while the GT Line trim will have only the GTX+ variant. If we talk about features, Kia Sonet will be equipped with a plethora of bells and whistles such as Smart Pure Air Purifier with virus protection, BOSE premium seven-speaker sound system with subwoofer, Ventilated driver and front-passenger seats, LED Sound Mood Lights, Remote engine start via UVO Connect and Smart Key, Wireless smartphone charger with cooling function and the best-in-segment 10.25-inch HD touchscreen system with navigation and live traffic information. There will be 30+ first-in-segment features with Kia’s signature UVO Connect suite of technologies.

As far as safety features are concerned, Kia Sonet will boast of six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, HAC, VSM and BA. Mechanically, it will be available with a total of three BS6 compliant engines. The petrol variants will get 1.2L naturally aspirated and a 1.0L turbocharged engine while the diesel variants will be powered by a 1.5L CRDi motor. The subcompact SUV will offer the highest-in-segment choices for transmission in the form of five and six-speed manuals, an intuitive seven-speed DCT, first in segment six-speed torque converter automatic, and Kia’s revolutionary new six-speed intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT). Kia Sonet price is expected to be at par or even lesser than its rivals.
